What does learner empowerment look like? I have always been interested in this because this is a big part of my life. I have always gone for challenges, including something that I thought I could never do, like running a marathon, being able to speak several languages, etc. For each challenge, I was encouraged by people who had faith in me, who led me to discover and pursue the steps to achieve my goals. This empowered me in the process, allowing me to gain some confidence and add to my determination that I can achieve what I set out to do.

It is important in our increasingly globalizing world to listen and talk to each other and be able to make the best informed and considered decisions about taking certain actions.
